@ " Dig and Smell It " Day @

What a boring day today has been.... I'm like idling the whole day at the same time worrying about Valentine's Day chocolates launch and how am I gonna do my visual merchandising....hmm...

Picture of Marina Square at 3pm.... Literily a ghost town..... My neighbours - United Colours Of Bennetton and the middle kiosk - and I were practically talking loudly among ourselves...Wet market moments kata kan....hee..

Amid the boring day, here's an interesting yet gross newsflash that I'd like to share, see the guy in the pic on the left - I know it's far but that's the best zoom my trusty Hp can produce - while I was busy idling and looking around, that guy walk forward to the stairs, lift up his school uniform as if he wanted to tuck them in but instead of tuckin them in, he put his hand in his boxers, scratched and "alter" his jewels right there in the middle of the shopping centre..!!
Shocking as it was, I find it rather unpleasant cause the next move surely gonna make you go eewww.... You've guessed it.... He sniffed his hand the moment he took it out of his pants and even looked at it !!! mampus kan.... OMG!! And while he was doing those moves a lady was walking pass him.... goodness..!
I thought I'm over with this kind of activity and those incident in CityLink was over and done with but Nooooooo.... MS like over the top...haha..
Yeah...I manage to snap his picture discreetly...hehehe... Hope he doesn't read this post or even know this post...
Anyways, I turn around feeling a little disgusted la...I don't know...shall I say with mixed feeling... The moment I turn around, I bust another one but this time it was a woman. A plump lady with her friend just step out of Miss SelfFridge. She's wearing khaki pants and polo shirt, reached down her crotch and pull her pants and underwear together to a better position while giving that satisfying look.
I guess she's having one of those Loose-Panty-That-Keep-Out-Of-Place Moment or My-Panty-Too-Tight-It-Hurts-My-Vagina Moment.
I quickly grab my eye-mo and wash my eyes....hahaha
Between those 2, I guessed the guy wins hands down. He receive full point the moment he smell his hands....

@ That Chick @

After receiving several different release dates, Mariah Carey is finally set for an April return. That Chick is the follow-up to 2005's biggest selling album, Carey's The Emancipation of Mimi, which means it has much to live up to.

Longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri is a believer. "It's kind of strange but I heard a lot of her records and it sound like the album is better than the last album," Jermaine Dupri told Billboard. Along with J.D. That Chick features production from Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am and Rodney Jerkins, while T-Pain and Damian Marley join Mariah on the mic.

According to Billboard, That Chick seems to run the gamut, with Mariah moving from R&B, to light pop and even trying out a new sound that fans have never heard from the diva with her take on Jamaican patois. Marley helps out with the island sound on the track "Crusie Control", while T-Pain lends his voice opposite Mariah on the upbeat track, "Migrate" in which Mariah warns, "Don't wait for me to buy drinks, or you're going to dehydrate." In the sexy R&B track, "Touch My Body" Mariah shuts down anyone hoping to get a shot of her with a cell phone camera, singing, "If there's a camera up in here then I best not catch this flick on YouTube."

As SOHH previously reported, Carey is really excited about her new disc. "It's hard for me to sit here and talk about it without sounding like I'm bragging if I'm in love with it, but I'm in love with this album," Mariah admitted to the L.A. Times. "I think that having the success with the last record allowed me to have more freedom... and just make records that I like. It's kind of a really fun record."

@ R.I.P @

1979 - 2008

I'm off today and I received this shocking news while checking my emails today. What a sad day.
I love him the moment I watched 10 Things I hate About You, The Patriot and A knight's Tale and have been falling in love with his acting and his brood and dark looks ever since. It's a tragic to have lost someone so talented and young. Rest in peace.

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger, the talented 28-year-old actor who gravitated toward dark, brooding roles that defied his leading-man looks, was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment, facedown at the foot of his bed with prescription sleeping pills nearby, police said.

There was no obvious indication that the Australian-born Ledger had committed suicide, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.

Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the SoHo apartment that is believed to be the home of the "Brokeback Mountain" actor, Browne said. The massage therapist and a housekeeper found his naked body at about 3:30 p.m. They tried to revive him, but he was already dead.
"I had such great hope for him," said Mel Gibson, who played Ledger's vengeful father in "The Patriot," in a statement. "He was just taking off and to lose his life at such a young age is a tragic loss."

Outside the Manhattan building on an upscale street, paparazzi and gawkers gathered, and several police officers put up barricades to control the crowd of about 300. Onlookers craned their necks as officers brought out a black bodybag on a gurney, took it across the sidewalk and put it into a medical examiner's office van.

@ Carried away..? @

As you already know, my ASM pisses me off.... due to the last incident..

She sent an email to Citylink, Millenia Walk and to my side as well, Marina Square to inform us about our Visual merchandising props that need to be collected at Vivocity.

The moment i opened the email to read, something that she wrote from the greeting sentence made me.....erm....mad..?? I don't know, I feel offended though, anyways, this is what she wrote :

"Dear Store @ Marina Area, "

I know there's no big deal about the greeting but I somehow feel offended..? cause why do you categorize your own staffs, aren't we all work for the same team. I feel it's a little rude and I feel like an outcast. Told this to some of my colleagues and they just brush it off and feel that it is not a big deal at all........but not to me... So one of them said that I'm just carried away in my emotions...

That evening I went to Vivocity to take the items and the moment I reached there she said,

ASM : Aiyah Sayang, I didn't know you're coming, I passed the item to SH and bring them to Taka. Since Taka is near to you guys, so it is easier for you guys to collect and you don't have to come here to collect.

And here I am thinking if you wanna do that way, why in the world send that stupid email??
All I did was ignored her and turn around and ask B about my stationary order. You know la if I talk in my already angry moment, things definitely gets ugly...kan..??

Anyhoo, B was suppose to cover at my store for the first time on Monday and I asked her to come early so that I could brief her on the procedure and all. I need to do it quick cause I'm having SIC meeting at 2.30pm.

Me : B, Can you come early on Monday so that I can teach you all the procedure?
B : Can....(Proudly) ......No problem but I can't promise cause you know la bus no.97 always late and have to wait long...

I looked at her and my blood is boiling.. Another idiot..!!
If the bloody bus's always late and have to wait long aren't you supposed to come earlier to the bus stop..??? What is she talking about..?? She mean to say that every time she's late, she blame her lateness on the bus..?? What then...??

I can't be bother with this stupidity, took my things and walked off without saying goodbye.

Next day, Susan called me and asked why my face black?

S : Why your face black?
Me : Black?? Where got black?? No leh..I put powder and blusher you know...What do you mean?
S : Yesterday you went to Vivo right. Your face black, can I ask y?
Me : Oh....nothing la...
S : Tell me la... ( Kaypoh right..?? )
Me : Sigh....maybe something ASM did la..
S : What..?
Me : That email greeting..
S : Sigh...Aiyah... (Change topic)

Still feels that I carried away..... To me....honestly.........

Not at all....

@ The Afternoon Reception @

The arrival of the King and Queen of the day without the Anak Dara Bunga....

Date : 30/12/200
Time : 2.00 PM
Venue : Yishun

The day after we went to Suhirman's wedding reception which I loved cause of it's simplicity and warm. I saw Azhar while finding an empty seats and boy does he looked good...I mean he look better than the time I saw him at some place....Can't remember where... I guessed guys looked better after marriage....erm....except Suhaimi.....but that's another story....
Suhirman's brother in-law was friendly and a little too pushy as what Zaid suggested. The sister are friendly too... I'm already feeling awkward cause as usual I'm the only one stands out from the crowd...in not a good way- I feel - as Rizal said, people look at you not in awe but something else...hee....

I loved the DJ or the Karaoke singers cause they played up lifting and happy songs that add to the already cheerful and bright void deck....gitu eh... not forgetting one of them are cute...to my taste la..

I never notice this until Azhar told me that some of the family members or cousins or nieces recognises me from my Friendster profile and pointed and whispering my profile nick "MonarC" when I walk to the seat....oh my.... macam artist siak...hehe....

And at one moment, while waiting for the couple to change outfits for their return trip back to Aishah's which are longer than we anticipated at his place, one of his niece drops by and before she leaves, she stop in front of me and said, "You're MonarC, right?" and walk away smiling...
Rizal was laughing and Zaid was in the Scooby-Doo-Moment and I was in the Okay-What-Just-Happen-Moment... I mean, I'm flattered but feeling a little weird....

Moments later the Bride appear first from their changing room and Suhirman later. Aishah's a big girl and tall...I guessed I'm just short la...and she's fair. This is what I think, The Mak Andam or Make-Up Artist as what they preferred to be called now, did a not so good job.

First and foremost, she took a hell of her own sweet time to change outfits let alone retouching the make-up. And second of all, her make-up sucks! She did Aishah's so white that she looked like a tonne of flour that were throw at her, on her face... And that horrendous lipstick..!!! I know, I know...I shouldn't say anything about the make-up but...it's like she's been punk, man...
And oh....That performance with the dancing girls are a waste of time...seriously...It's feels like Malam Perjumpaan Raya or something...You know...

To think one of her friends find that colour nice, literally makes my eyes popped out... I think my expression shows a little la....
Here's are some of the pictures that we took....

Enjoys...

@ Void-Deck-Dinner-Reception @

Okay, I forgot to wish everyone A Happy New Year and hope we all have a great year ahead and may all of our resolutions or wishes or whatever be full filled....
There...I've said it..... Now back to our interesting topic that I wanna post...hee
VOID-DECK-DINNER-RECEPTION

Date : 29/12/2007
Time : 7.30 PM
Venue : Simei

Invited for Aishah's (did I get the spelling correct?) dinner reception and boy was the venue far...Anyhoo...definately fashionably late as always....miscalculation of time as I would preferred to put the blame on... Hurriedly and begrudgingly and hesitantly I flagged a cab so that I would not be so late...and thanks to me, I've made that cabbie $30 bucks richer... And oh..!..May I suggest to the Cabbie Associations to include an extra mile of service by providing a complimentary drink....you know...since they are hiking up the taxi fare by 35% might as well provide something for the passengers so that they would shut up....passengers like me particularly cause by the time I reached Simei, I was pretty....erm.... parched?....thirsty...hee..

Anyhoo, met Rizal and we bought our self bottles to drink....halal one hor... and we wait....and we wait....and.....we....waited.... and catching up with the missing times..gitu....plus the gossip la...of course...

Zaid arrives and 30mins later..I think...Mother Bear arrives and off we go to the Void-Deck-Dinner-Reception.

I must say that the whole decorations are over the top, you see as funny as this may sound, this is my first Void-Deck-Dinner-Reception that I've ever attended to in many many years...The last one was in the 90's. That long but of course there's dinner receptions at HOTEL...but other than that it's been awhile. I don't mean to be mean or be a critique but if you're gonna have a grand function might as well do it in a hotel ball room... It's better that way than just a void deck thingy and as far as I'm concern those decorations and all costs a bomb, doesn't come cheap...you know...Only like 65% seats occupied....oh well it's all boils down to own preferences...
Oh yeah.... I have to include this cause I simply couldn't get this incident out of mind freakin mind.... the buffet spread was unbelievably incredible and hands down to the bride's mom who cook most of the dishes.
The spread include dishes that I have never encounter at any weddings I have attended to... and surprisingly in one corner sits Chocolate Fondue....hmmm...who would have thunk to include a Chocolate Fondue on the buffet table.... But of course by the time we asked Mother Bear to take some Chocolate Fondue - by the way whose having a Scooby-Doo-Moment when we mention Chocolate Fondue - has miraculously disappear.... I guess most of the guest never had any Fondue in the lives...Or....they really love Chocolates......buuuttt....I prefer the former...hee
Unfortunately we didn't take much pictures cause my trusty camera somehow doesn't work properly at night...sucks..
Here are some that I took....
